ID Logistics leases 68,000 sq m unit at LogistikPark Diemelstadt, Germany, from Scannell Properties

Scannell Properties has finalised one of the largest lease agreements of the current year in the German market: From the third quarter of 2025, ID Logistics will lease the newly-developed 68,000 sq m property LogistikPark Diemelstadt and operate it as an e-commerce fulfilment centre. The future stocking range is set to include up to 1.9 million small and medium-sized items. At the start, ID Logistics is planning to employ 300 people on site.

“We deliver everything from a single source and with a high level of agility: from the planning of the logistics concept and our specialisation in complex e-commerce solutions, all the way to customised real estate solutions and a concept developed in-house for personnel recruiting and personnel deployment management. This enables us to achieve both process and cost efficiency for our customers, even for complex projects,” explains Robin Otto, CEO of ID Logistics Germany.

“The park certainly represents an ambitious project and is ideally suited for large-scale national and European distribution activities. We are delighted that ID Logistics, an experienced large-scale logistics provider, will be putting the space into operation immediately after completion and utilising it in its entirety,” reports Jan Imfeld, Country Head, Germany at Scannell Properties. “On behalf of Scannell Properties, I would like to expressly thank the city, whose tireless efforts made the development in Diemelstadt possible in the first place. The ongoing positive cooperation with the project team has characterised our collaboration over the last few years.”

After a careful planning phase, the project is now nearing successful completion. “The establishment of a modern, innovative and sustainable company and employer such as ID Logistics Germany is a very positive signal for our town,” comments Andreas Fritz, Mayor of Diemelstadt. “This will benefit Diemelstadt as well as its citizens and the entire surrounding area. The logistics park with direct motorway access will create new jobs for the region and further strengthen and supplement the local economy.”

Modern logistics space in prime location

Located in northern Hesse between Kassel/Bad Hersfeld and Paderborn, LogistikPark Diemelstadt has been specifically designed for 24/7 logistics and benefits from direct access to the A44 motorway with onward connections to the A33 and A7 motorways.

In line with Scannell Property's commitment to sustainability, the property will be certified DGNB Gold standard for its state-of-the-art technology and design which maximise energy efficiency and sustainably reduce CO₂ emissions. Among other things, innovative heat pump technology, a photovoltaic system and a grey water system have been implemented. In addition, LED lighting and extensive green roofs ensure resource-efficient operation.

CBRE consulted during the acquisition of the land in Diemelstadt and acted as letting agents for the project. List Bau Nordhorn was appointed as general contractor for construction work.
