José Antonio Ortega named as Scannell Properties’ new Technical Director in Spain
Scannell Properties has appointed José Antonio Ortega as its new Technical Director in Spain, a position in which he will work closely with Javier Inchauspe, the Director General for Spain. After working for more than 20 years in the property and construction sector, Ortega brings a wealth of experience to Scannell Properties as it prepares for accelerated expansion across Spain.
In his new post, Ortega will play an active role in project development, interacting with clients on the technical side and supervising all construction matters to ensure the highest standards of quality in every project. His immediate responsibilities will include overseeing the 21,000 square-metre speculative logistics development in Santa Perpetua de Moguda, Barcelona, which was announced by Scannell earlier this year.
Prior to joining Scannell, Ortega was Director of the Madrid office at Construction Contractor, Cubic, where he headed up large-scale property projects. During his 20-year career Ortega also held the role of Construction Director at specialist logistics construction company Coperfil. He qualified as a Civil Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and has a masters in Management of Real Estate and Construction Companies from the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Madrid

In the last few weeks, Scannell Properties has strengthened its team in Europe with the appointment of four new executives in the United Kingdom, and has also taken on a new Development Manager in France and a Project and Construction Manager in Germany.
