Scannell Properties to redevelop 8-hectare industrial site in Meurthe-et-Moselle, North East France

Scannell Properties, the industrial and logistics investment and development specialist, is to develop a 31,600 sq m warehouse building in the ZAC Nord area of the town of Atton in the North East region of France.  The Class A building has been designed in a modular format which can be subdivided into five separate units of around 6,000 sq m, with 30 HGV loading bays and ancillary office and social space

Strategically located equidistant between the cities of Metz and Nancy and 1.5 km from the A31 motorway, the site provides fast access to the major cities of North East France, including Paris and Lille.  Atton is also well positioned for onward connections to the rest of Central Europe.

Scannell is targeting a BREEAM Very Good certification for the development which will be equipped with a rainwater management system, 6,431 photovoltaic panels to ensure a clean and renewable energy source and electric vehicle charging provision for 20% of parking.

The redeveloped site will also benefit from a BiodiverCity label, ensuring the project's integration into nature and respect for biodiversity.  The development will include almost 28,000 sq m dedicated to new landscaped areas, including copses, hedgerows and meadows.  Scannell has also committed to re-establishing native species to a degraded “ecological corridor”, that runs to the west and north of the site and connects directly with the Facq-et-Juré national forest.

Hugues Desbarrières, Director of Development France at Scannell Properties, commented:  "Located less than two minutes from the A31 motorway, a major distribution route in the North East of France, the Atton platform is ideally situated for logistics activities in this region. Developed on a brownfield site and designed according to the highest standards of environmental certification, it will offer manufacturers, transportation and logistics operators a modern, energy efficient building that can be adapted to support their operational needs."

Completion is scheduled for the last quarter of 2024.
